I did not get accepted to CalArts. That means I will be taking this next coming school year off to better my portfolio and save up money, get a license and shit. All that other stuff. But yeah. I am pretty fucking bummed.
oh nono! This was for getting in as a freshie in college, not CSSSA. And only 30% gets in, and my portfolio was one of the last to be entered. I had ended up doing a lot of it last minute too XD. Like, the night before. So i am not terribly surprised I was not accepted this year
I hope I still get into CSSSA, and I will be trying again to go to college there next year.
I'm sorry, hey I'm applying to Cal Arts in a couple years too. At least, I want to go there now, but I might change my mind and all. Still a sophomore. Good luck getting in.
Hahaha, I did mine last minute too, don't even worry about it XD
Aah you will love the campus. It gets hot though Most of the class rooms are either in the main building, it has like 4 or 5 stories, or in the portables. There is a pool for the dorms (thank god!) and there is a lot of grass and picnic area. Relatively small, in a big sorta way.
And the bottom floor of the main building is a graffiti room. Meaning, them walls are up for grabs! PAINT LIKE THE WIND!
Plus there is a plaza in walking distance, so if you need snacks, Starbucks, Jamba, ice cream, or restaurants (some clothes too) it is there. A Walmart too. It is convenient.
Oh, I've seen it before, I haven't actually toured it, but when my sister went to CSSSA, I saw it. It's one of the things I don't like about LA, is you have to drive since public transportation is bad....not big fan of walmart, or starbucks for that matter :/ ughhh chains.
But yeah, it seems pretty chill, not sure I'm ever gonna get use to it considering how different it is from where I live. It's nearly always foggy and cold here, which is nice. I hate heat...this may be a problem, I might go vampire and just stay inside hahaahha.
The air conditioning doesn't always work in the dorms, which is why the pool is so nice, and I think you'd do well to buy a small cooler, a shitload of ice, and some drinks to share with the dorm mates. That is one of the things I wish I had done last year
There is a walmart like, right there, so if you need stuffs, yaay
But you will be living in one of the hotter parts of the inland, although the evening hours are wonderful, and the class rooms are majorly AC'd. YOu won't feel most of the heat until you walk outside, or it is Sunday (cause there are no classes Sundays.)
